Ronald accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior as a young man. He loved the Lord deeply and served him faithfully throughout his life. Ronald married Rachel Ann McLawhorn on September 21, 1957. They celebrated the birth of their daughter, Sherry Lynn, in 1959 and the birth of their son, Ronald Coleman Jr., in 1963. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Elayne.
He loved his family and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, backpacking and snow skiing. In addition, he was a dedicated member of the Appalachian Trail Club. Ronald’s careers included being a U.S. Marine, Norfolk police officer and a sales executive. Finally retiring from Stanley Vidmar.
Ronald will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, of 67 years; daughter Sherry and her husband Michael and their children Stacie, Chris (Lindsay), Nicole (Tim); his son Ron Hutton Jr. and his wife Amy and their children Britany and Coleman. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren Brantley, Skylar, Amber, Braylin, Tatum, Brooks and Everett.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Union Mission Ministries, 5100 Virginia Beach Blvd Norfolk VA 23502.
