Robert Lee Snowden, Sr., 95, passed away on November 19, 2018. He was born in Charleston, SC to the late Charles and Octavia Snowden. He retired from Civil Service as a Photographic Supervisor for the Naval Supply Center. Bob was a founding member of Community United Methodist Church and a member of the Ruritan Club for 45+ years of which he was a past President. In his early years, he loved to go camping at Kerr Dam and taking trips to the mountains. He also enjoyed fishing, racing sailboats and watching NASCAR. Bob was a loving husband and father who always took care of his family. He was predeceased by a son, Robert L. Snowden, Jr. and his sister Octavia Snowden.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 73 years, Mary F. Snowden; son Jim Snowden (Gloria); grandchildren, Chris Snowden (Izzy), Jeff Snowden (Maura), Steve Snowden (Teigha) and Bethany Phillips (Lee); and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Community United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
