He is preceded in death by his son Kenneth Ray, and sisters, Anna and Gertrude.
Mr. Horton was a retired Trim Carpenter. He was an avid hunter, and a honorary member of the Black Cat Hunt Club. He was also a well- respected guide throughout North Carolina and Virginia.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Allen, Michael, and Bruce; 3 grandchildren, David Alan, Rebecca Lynn (Tinkerbelle), and Robert Terence (Buster); brothers, Everett and Raymond; and sisters, Nancy and Dianne.
A visitation service will be held from 7-9pm on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
