Robert Steven Donnay

A Celebration of Life is pending at his place of residence in Virginia Beach.

Bob was born in Chelsea, MA on June 3, 1955 to his wonderful parents Marcus Fritzy Donnay and Alfreda Hill and he joins them in peace.

Bob married his beautiful wife Ruth A. Donnay on July 12, 1975 after only knowing each other two months. This fairytale lasted through four beautiful children, Jennifer Jones, Angela Browning, Robert Donnay II and Keith Donnay. Amazing sons and daughters-in-law Kevin Jones, Roger Browning & Judy Hanscom Donnay. His legacy will carry on thru his grandchildren Cheyenne Jones, Sierra Jones and Damian Browning.

Bob retired from The U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after twenty years of service and retired from MWR after twenty years.

His loving brother and sister-in-law Marcus N. Donnay and Maureen Donnay drove over 600 miles overnight to be by his side. His nephew in law, Paul C. Beck was amazing in his help to lift him up when he needed it. This man was such a amazing father and many of his children's friends adopted him as their own. So much that a lot of them came from far to support and pay their respects.

There is only one Quote that comes to mind when thinking of a great way to send him off that Judy Hanscom Donnay's father says.

"Sailor your watch is over. Fair winds and following seas".
