Mr. Raymond E. Wilson Jr.

VIRGINIA BEACH- Raymond E. Wilson, Jr., 82, passed away on May 11, 2011.

Mr. Wilson retired from the Norfolk Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma L. Wilson, six children, Linda Lee Simmons and husband, Ray; Raymond E. Wilson, III all of Virginia Beach, VA; Karen Anne Schipula and husband, Frank of Newport News, VA; Michael Scott Wilson and wife, Brendee; Sidney Allen Wilson; Tina Louise Tipton and husband, Billy all of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Frances Carol Kennedy of Virginia Beach, VA; Sandra Tharrington of Yorktown, VA; Faye Perry and husband, Mac of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, David Wilson and wife, Joyce of Virginia Beach, VA; eleven grandchildren and twenty one and one half great grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of Mr. Wilson’s life will be held on Friday, 11:30 a.m. at Haygood United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haygood United Methodist Church.
