Raymond W. Strickland Sr.

Virginia Beach – Raymond W. Strickland Sr., 82, passed away on February 13, 2011 in Hertford, NC. He was born on April 25, 1928 to William A. and Izorah B. Strickland in Windsor, VA. He is predeceased by his sister, June McLeod and brothers, W.A. Strickland and Ed Strickland.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen E. Strickland of Hertford, NC; son, Raymond W. Strickland Jr. and wife Mary Strickland of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Bob B. Strickland of Hertford, NC; and two grandchildren, Ashley- Rae Strickland, and David- Christopher Strickland of Virginia Beach, VA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Burial will follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 3:00 pm
