Patty L. Landrum, 82, returned to her heavenly home on August 18, 2015 after a valiant fight with cancer. Patty was born to the late R.D. and Ethel Lambert in Greensboro, North Carolina. She married the late John Wesley Landrum December 1960. They spent forty eight years together traveling across the country, visiting many unique places and meeting people whom they kept in touch with over the years.
Patty retired as an administrative assistant from a large architectural firm in Norfolk. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Virginia Chapter #22 for forty-three years. She served as Worthy Matron in 1980-1981 and 2003-2004. Also, she served as Grand Esther in 1998 as well as numerous Grand Committee offices.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband John in 2008. She was survived by her brother, Charlie (Betty) Lambert; sister-in-law, Dot Landrum; precious extended family members and many dear friends, especially Eugene Bliss. The caring touch of Patty’s last days were given by Intrepid Hospice and the wonderful ladies of Care Advantage.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 6 to 8 pm at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, 12 pm, at the Providence Presbyterian Church 5497 Providence Rd Va. Beach, VA 23464. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
