Patricia Vader Matson

Patricia Vader Matson, 72, passed away Jan. 21, 2013. She was born on Sept. 17, 1940 in Kansas City, KS to the late William and Delta Vader. Mrs. Matson enjoyed a career as a school teacher. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Robert Koken.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Howard L. Matson; daughter, Jennifer Matson of Virginia Beach; sons, Greg Matson of Monroe, NC and Bill Matson and his wife Lori of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Bella Matson; and sister, Karen Koken of Olathe, KS.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth, VA.
