Nola Dolores Davis

Nola Delores (Flanders) Davis, 83, was called by her lord and savior to join her beloved Donald on Thursday, November 16, 2017. She was a gentle soul, who loved reading her Bible, enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith show, and took delight in dining out with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cheatham and Nola (Drake) Flanders, her brother Edward Flanders, and the love of her life, and most cherished husband of 57 years, Donald L. Davis, Sr., She was a fiercely devoted wife, who will be remembered as the “Woman behind the man.”

She is survived by her children, Candace Cizmar (John) of Hampton, VA, Donald L. Davis Jr. (Debbie) of Newtown, VA, Jill Sabol (John) of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Larry P. Jennings (Cindy) of Eugene, OR, Angela Henry (Frank) of Geneva, OH, Roger Bishop Jr. (Tina) of Hampton, VA, Christopher (Rachel) and Michael (Moira) Sabol; Great-grandchildren, Richard Krauss, Jessica and Deanna Uhl, Makayla and Alex Henry of OH, Nick Goodwin and Bailey Jennings of Eugene, OR.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 1pm, Tuesday at the funeral home with a burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. There will be a reception to follow the services in the funeral home reception room.
