Milagros Sucgang, 69, passed away July 25, 2018. She was born on August 11, 1948 in Manila, Philippines. She was predeceased by her parents, Jose and Victoria Caballero, sister, Estrella Caballero, and brother, retired commander of the U.S. Navy, Dr. Rey Caballero. Mrs. Sucgang retired after 10 years as a registered nurse at Lake Taylor Hospital and 21 years at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. She dedicated her remaining time to traveling the world and caring for her beloved granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Rolando Sucgang; her daughter, Michelle Mercado and her husband Noel; her son, Rolando Sucgang, Jr; her 2 granddaughters Liliana and Kamia; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Caballero; and numerous cousins, nephews, and a niece.
The family will receive vistors from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral home including a wake service at 7 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
