Mickey Buffkin Delia

Mickey Buffkin Delia died suddenly on August 17, 2015. She was sixty-four years old. Born on March 19, 1951, Mrs. Delia was the daughter of Sammy and Helen Buffkin. Born in Horry County, SC, and raised in the Roosevelt area of Norfolk. She graduated from Norview High School in 1969. She worked at Dominion Virginia Power retiring on April 1, 2010.

Mickey was a wonderful person who was loved by everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, John N. Delia, Jr; a son Eric Delia and wife Cara; a granddaughter Elise Delia; father Sammy Buffkin, a brother Michael Buffkin and son Travis; a sister Linda Posivach and son Freddie and wife Michelle; nieces Katlyn, Elizabeth and nephew Lee; mother-in-law Dorothy L. Delia; brother-in-law Bill Delia and wife Linda; sister-in-law Dr. Ruth Parker and husband Tim; niece Katherine Renzi and husband David; nephew Captain Tim Parker, U.S. Army. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Rest in Peace My Love.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home where a Celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home.
