Michael H. Kelton

Michael H. Kelton, 84, passed away on August 8, 2023. He was born in San Antonio, TX, to the late Jeanne and Horace Kelton, Jr. Master Chief Kelton served his country in the U.S. Navy for 30 years followed by a second career in communications with the Civil Service. Michael was a long-time member of the Church of the Messiah. He was a member of the Swindler’s Golf Club and he also participated in a regular Poker group. Spending time with his family was what he cherished most. His personal relationships with each of his daughters and grandchildren brought him special joy.

Michael was predeceased by his loving wife whom he married in 1962, Eunice Y. Kelton; brothers, Paul Kelton and Peter Kelton; and sisters Jeanne McDowell and Patricia Kelton.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Miranda Kelton, Cassandra Bosley (Jeffrey), Belinda Kelton (Charles), and Kerensa Ribble (Stephen); 11 grandchildren, Cheylynne, Michael, Andrew, Patrick, Sean, Rebecca, Vincent, Steven, Corbin, Riley, and Pierce; and 13 great grandchildren, Matthew, Vivian, Elizabeth, Ezekiel, Anthony, Jaden, Elena, Raegan, Owen, Abigail, Jackson, Lilly-Ann and Adeline.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:00 AM, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home on Princess Anne Rd in Virginia Beach. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM.
