Maxwell Tanner Lyons Jr.

Mr. Lyons was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Maxwell Tanner Lyons, Sr. and Bessie Cheatham. He was preceded in death by his wife Constance C. Lyons, his brother William E. Lyons and sisters Mary Maxwell Owings and Betsy Terry; and a son-in-law Bob Burgess.

Mr. Lyons moved to Virginia Beach in 1952. He served as an Aviation Electrician's Mate, Third Class in the United States Navy during World War II. He received a Bachelor's Degree from The College of William & Mary in 1950 and retired from Honeywell after many years of service.

Survivors include two daughters Terry Elizabeth Lyons Burgess; Sarah Constance Richards and her husband Hank, sons Michael Lyons and his wife Cheryl, and Maxwell Tanner Lyons, III and his wife Margie and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes all services will be private.
