Martha Mae Eppley

Virginia Beach – Martha Mae Eppley, 86, passed away on April 8, 2015. She was born Nov. 1, 1928 in Caldwell, Ohio to the late Harley and Leoba Estadt. Mrs. Eppley was a beloved mother and grandmother, who enjoyed caring for others. She volunteered at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital for more than 10 years. She loved children and played the role of “Mom” to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Eppley; son, Michael Eppley; brother, Larry Estadt; and sister, Margie Estadt.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandra Thompson, Cynthia Allen (Johnny Allen), Sally Eppley (Steve Mott), and Kevin Eppley (Crystal Matthews); granddaughters, Megan Thompson, Rebekah Allen, Rachel Allen, and Savannah Eppley; and sisters, Twila Finlaw and Laura Rogers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to their mother’s caregiver, Karen Vaughan for her love and tender care.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday April 13, 2015 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church celebrated by Father David Mott. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
