On June 8, 1946 she married Norman Keith Tuttle, Sr. Norman and Marie were married for 39 years until his death in 1985.
Marie is survived by her two children, Norman Keith Tuttle, Jr., and wife Annette Tuttle of Chesapeake, VA; Michael Weston Tuttle of Port Richey, FL and daughter-in-law, Mary Tuttle. Marie was predeceased by her son, Roy Edward Tuttle who passed away in 1990.Marie was one of 11 children and was survived by a sister, Helen Watkins and brother, Robert Savage and wife, Roberta. Marie was also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Marie loved music and had a witty sense of humor. She loved to go out dancing and she sang with the Sweet Adelines for many years. She loved to sew, bake and garden and her family especially loved her famous peach cobbler. She was also an animal lover and had many cats and dogs over the years.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
