Maria Gertudis Wiggins

Virginia Beach - Maria Gertudis-Navas Wiggins, 64, passed away peacefully June 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Wiggins was born in Baranoa, Colombia June 10, 1948 to the late Miguel and Anna Navas. She moved to the United States in 1985 and shortly thereafter she met her beloved husband, David. Maria will always be remembered for her kindness; she would often send her family in Colombia gifts and mementos from the United States. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and being with family and friends. Maria will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory is: her devoted husband of 23 years, David Wiggins; three brothers: Oscar (Dalis), Mane (Nidia) and Demostenes Navas; sister, Carmen Sage (Robert); four nieces: Anna Maria, Monica, Melinda, and Mellisa; nine nephews: Ricardo, Antonio, Oscar David, Cesar Barrios, Victor, Carlos, Luis Miguel, Robert and Bryan and a special friend, Bellanith Amador.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 6, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Rosewood Memorial park at a later date. Please share your condolences with the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com
