Margaret Taylor Spivey

Margaret T. Spivey, 95, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2022. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hamilton Spivey, and two brothers, Haywood and Edward Taylor. Born September 21, 1927 to King and Lucille Taylor in Tyner, NC. Margaret was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church since 1959. She retired as a Deputy Treasurer from the City of Virginia Beach in 1993. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Linda Harris and her husband Paul, and Deborah Spivey, all of Virginia Beach; sister, Janie Tompkins; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 6:30-8:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald W. Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
