She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Anne and Bill Jordon, and three grandsons, Ethan, Patrick, and William Jordon, all of Providence Forge, Virginia; two sisters, Sheila Curling (Tom Bronson) and Betty Curling Mills, both of Virginia Beach; and two brothers-in-law, Mickey Hodges and Julian Hodges (Merry), both of Hinesville, Georgia. She also leaves behind her devoted fur babies, Hannah, Tessa, and Lily. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Donald A. Hodges.
Lois was born in Virginia Beach, VA to Robert and Audrey Curling, and spent her childhood there. After marrying, she spent most of her adult life in Hinesville, GA, where she worked as an administrative assistant for the public school system through the Liberty County Board of Education. She retired to Mexico Beach, FL, where she enjoyed walking the beach searching for seashells, riding her wave runner, hosting family and friends for beach vacations, and working in her flower garden. Her most recent home was in Quinton, VA, where she moved to be nearer to family.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Corinth Baptist Church, 11650 New Kent Highway, New Kent, VA.
