Virginia Beach – Linda Leigh Curry, 74, passed away on January 20, 2021. Linda was born in Norfolk County, Virginia, on December 14, 1946. She was predeceased by her father Paul M. Cooper, and is survived by her beloved mother Ruth Cooper Garner Gafford. She grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Linda was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like listening to music, especially country music, for hours at a time. She loved to dance, which is how she met Wayne, her husband and favorite dance partner. She loved nothing more than to just get in the car and ride! She enjoyed traveling to new places, the mountains, exploring beach towns and just looking through shops discovered along the way. She raised numerous fur babies over the years and will be deeply missed by Mickey, her current companion, who enjoyed relaxing by her side while watching TV.
She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of 28 years, Wayne; her son Chris Keel and wife Amy, her daughter Cheri Seery and husband Scott, her son Brian Keel and wife Debbie, and her seven grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jenna, Riley, Hailey, Kelsey, Reagan and Lincoln, and her great-grandchildren Evie and Ace.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 5:00 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
