Sadly I have no mobile pictures to post of the adventures Lida and I shared. We were best friends back in the 1980s and 90s. I met Lida through bicycling and from that time on we began our addiction to a sport we both loved. We started off touring….. 2 loops around Virginia, a ride across Iowa, another across Massachusetts, a week around Vermont and many local rides. Later, our addiction spread to harder and faster riding. The guys on the Tuesday and Thursday night Pungo Death Rides used to call Lida, Mighty Mouse,  as she pulled a pace line at 25 miles an hour. I shared some of the best times of my life with Lida and our little group of friends. Unfortunately, when we reconnected 5 or 6 years ago she was no longer riding. I know she is not in pain and is at peace now. Lida was a good friend. I felt we were inseparable during those years. She has given me memories I will cherish forever.

I worked with Lida as  LPN for many years . She loved her cats dearly. She will be missed. May God remember all the people she helped as an LPN. Rest In Peace my friend!

Happy New Year 2017  Lida and I (Laurel) shared a pizza   She was sipping on Amaretto, I was sipping on some wine. We had a nice time, we usually did

My best friend forever. She always gave me sound advice with love and conviction. Words cannot express what she means to me. I love her dearly. She is gone to Heaven and riding her bike all through the streets of gold. She has been rewarded for the hard life she led in Earth. God is giving her more rewards than ever imagined. She deserves the best and I can see her surrounded by all of her kittens running after her on those bike trails. I’m sure my sister, JoAnn greeted her at the Gates. They are having more peace, love and great health than we can imagine. God has welcomed her HOME🩷

Lida and my grandson, Cooper. He grew as she shrank a little. They were great pals.❤️
