Mr. Taylor was a great man and so full of wisdom and political knowledge, he will truly be missed.

Uncle Leroy, I wish our families lived closer, so that we could have spent more time with you. You will always be in my heart. I know you are at peace and enjoying your reward in heaven. Rest now Uncle Leroy, I will miss you.

Rest in peace Leroy.  You certainly gave more than your fare share to this country.  We remember you fondly and appreciate your wisdom, stories, jokes, and the fact that you were always respectful, a gentleman, and willing to help out wherever you could. Your memory will always bring a smile to many, many people. I am honored to have been your supervisor for several years.  You are one of a kind.

Leroy's friendship was a gift in our lives  and we thank God for every second we spent with him. He is in our hearts for ever.

Some Comments and Antidotes Received:

Melissa (Missy) Rios:  There are so many stories that I could share, from our talks about children, to the craziness of traveling to and from Virginia Beach each day, or the â€œannoyancesâ€ at work.  Leroy always had a way of making even the darkest day seem so bright.  Whether he was providing words of wisdom or the occasional wise crack, I always loved talking with him.   He treated everyone with respect.  I remember when we attended a training session together and when we left the building it had snowed over 4â€.  I started cleaning off my 4-runner's windows and Leroy took the scrapper from me.  He insisted on clearing the windows and when I insisted I could do it (after all it was my vehicle and he was my â€œguestâ€ rider), he politely, but pointedly, told me that he wanted to and that was that.  We laughed about the snow on our ride back to the office and had an even bigger laugh when everyone else didn't make it back for hours after we did!   He was a wonderful friend and just thinking about him brings a smile to my face.  I will never forget him.

Ernie Favale:  Leroy has always been a man of integrity and passion.  He always made it a point to be a gentleman and push himself to as high a level as possible.  I remember when he worked here that he commanded everyone's respect and compassion.  When he asked for help, everyone's attitude would be a notch better because it was Leroy and he deserved it.  We miss him!

Juanita Mane:  Leroy was the sweetest, most respectful, hard working and dedicated man I
have ever worked with.  He certainly deserved everyone's appreciation and respect as a Veteran and a co-worker.  It was an honor to work with him.

"I will truly miss my Uncle Leroy.  My family and I were blessed to spend the time we had with him.  We enjoyed the stories he shared.  God used him in many special ways to be a blessing to others".  The Prince Family.

Like Missy, I too was deeply saddened by the loss of Leroy.  His was a kind gentleman with a laugh larger than life.  I will truly miss the stories he shared of his love of his grandson. I was deeply saddened by the loss of Leroy. Leroy was a wonderful man. I will always remember his warm smile and laugh. He was truly generous and although I will miss him, I will never forget him.
