Virginia Beach – Leon H. Thompson, Sr., 76, passed away on June 1, 2012. He is predeceased by his parents, George Elmer and Annie Margaret Thompson; and three brothers, Jesse, Frank, and Harvey.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Polly Thompson; children, Kathy, Vicky (Larry), Leon, Jr. (Kathie), and Paul (Kim); grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, Alicia, Danielle, Austin and Chris; brothers, Carlton “Key”, Olton “Tiny” (Margie), and Preston “Tom” (Pat); and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Sandbridge Rescue Squad.
