Larry C. Wood, 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at home with his wife by his side. He was born in Norfolk to the late John H. and Adlee Wood. Also preceding him in death are his eight brothers and sisters.
Larry was an avid hunter- and by that, we mean he enjoyed naps in the woods. He belonged to the Blackwater Hunt Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores J. Wood; children, Nancy Pruitt (Earl) and Larry C. Wood, Jr. (Kim); granddaughter, Lauren Vespa (Joe); brother, Jerry Wood; and sister, Ann Carroll.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel of Rosewood Memorial Park. Those in attendance are invited to join the family for a small reception following the service in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
