John Howe such a loving father. My neighborhood friends all growing wanted to be at my house always. There was so much love to go around to all my friends. He truly was my hero. That’smy dad! But he has another daughter , Patty ( Patricia  Jane) as he called her. He the most giving and sweetest person ever. & So much for a daughter to be proud of. His love of sports gained him many outstanding awards and honors  through out high school. His marriage to my mother of 64?65? A REALLY LONG TIME! . He joined the Calvary Virginia Beach church and found a message in Christ that was unexpected. He could be w/my mother forever. He read the Bible and loved the Lord. His 6 grandchildren adore him and the 10 great-grandchildren are amazed by his stories & his beautiful Great-Great -granddaughter “Athena” , he said is the most beautiful baby he’s ever seen ! ( side note… John said that about every single grand child he had. ) just need to pass this along “water on your sid” Happy Trails Papa Bear!

I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Howe's passing.

I didn't know him very well but, he was always very kind and friendly when we did meet and it was clear that he was well-loved by his family. 

I am praying for his soul and for God's peace and comfort for his friends and family.

I remember when I was around 10 years old and didn't  know how to ride a bike. Mr. Howe taught me how to ride. I will always remember that. 
     Also, the Howe home was my sanctuary from the chaos across the street having 8 siblings.

Uncle John you have always been one of my favorite family members. You always brought such an amazing vibe to the room when you walked in. I’m blessed to have been lucky enough to know you but even more blessed to love you. You will truly be missed but I’m glad you’re now with your stunning wife. I love and miss you both!!

I will miss you so much uncle john but i know you are with the love of your life now. I love you both and miss you both!!!!

John Howe was my father-in-law for over 45 years, but more than that, he was a friend. I've known John since I was 13 years old and there was never a time I didn't feel welcome in his home, or that I couldn't seek his counsel. I will truly miss hearing him call me "Sarge"...
