John Carrick Bandelean, 63, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Chesapeake, VA. John was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Alfred and Lilian Bandelean. He is also predeceased by his sister, Patricia Cullison and a grandson, Amari. John can best be described as the life of the party, he had a keen sense of humor and was quick witted. He was a true family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He retired after 15 years of service as a deputy for the Chesapeake Sherriff’s Office. When we wasn’t working he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and playing fantasy football. He is cherished in memory by his loving wife, Virginia “Ginny”; his daughter, Sarah; nephews, Jimmy Cullison, Wayne Cullison (Wendy), Corvette Lemons and Darrell Buckner (Whitney); great nieces and nephews, Antonio, Zay, Tayshawn, Liam and Della.
A visitation will be from 6-8pm, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm the following day in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home chapel.
