Jesse Ward Moore

Mr. Moore was born in Martin County, NC and resided in Norfolk and Virginia Beach area most of his life. He retired as an estimator for Hudgins Interior. He served in the National Guard and was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk and Grace Bible Class. An avid golfer he loved fishing and bowling in his younger years.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by Kevin and Chris Benton and a brother Ronald Moore.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of nine years, Vivian Leigh Moore, three sons, Mike Moore and wife Jan, Steve Moore and wife Leah, Ray Benton and wife Natalie; twelve grandchildren, Peyton, Tanzie, Coyle, Jesse and Ashley Moore, Holly, Ryan, Kyle, Michael, Victoria, Genevieve and Joshua Marie Benton; and his precious little four legged girls, Miss Kenzie, Jessica, Bella and Shebe.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, where a Celebration of Jesse’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:00a.m. by Chaplain Bob Chauncey. Interment will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
