Jean Robinson

Virginia Beach - Jean Holmes Robinson, 82, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2014. She was born in South Norfolk, VA to the late George M. and Louise W. Holmes. Jean was employed as a bookkeeper in the family business, Holmes Convalescent Center. She was a member of Thalia United Methodist Church. The most memorable times of Jean's life were spent with her beloved husband, her twin sister, and her loving daughters. She was a social butterfly who knew how to keep the sparks alive in her marriage; treasured memories were made as she danced, rode tandem bikes, and enjoyed other activities with her husband. Now Jean joins her twin sister, June, as they dance in Heaven.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Albert; her adoring daughters, Christine Robinson, Ora Lee, Georgia Shaw and husband Richard, June Robinson Horn and companion, John O'Neal, and Barbara Braddy; granddaughters, Heather West and husband Christopher, Jessica Falk, Nicole Shaw, and Kalyn Horn; and a great-grandson, Chase Falk.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
