Virginia Beach – Janice Gayle Starling, 70, passed away July 6, 2010. She was born in Norfolk on December 7, 1939 to the late Robert and Myrtle Daughtrey. Janice was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. When her children were young, Janice was known as the neighborhood mom.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen D. Starling and son, Stephen D. Starling II.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bobby Starling and Mike Starling and his wife Judy; sister, Beverly Bradford and her husband, Russell; grandchildren, Michael, Cristie, Robert, and Daniel; and great-grandson, Matthew.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2010 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
