Iris Williams, 88, died July 16, surrounded by her family. She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, on July 17, 1921. Lovingly called “Titi”, her Spanish heritage and unique personality contributed to every life she touched. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, of 48 years. “Titi” is survived by her children, Alice & Steve Krum, Gloria & Everett Cossaboon, Hank & Donna Williams, and Martha & Roy Scott, 3 grandchildren, & 4 great-grandchildren.
Iris was an Elementary School Teacher for over 27 years, an active member and President in many organizations. A few are P.E.O International, Alpha Delta Kappa, United Methodist Women & “Valiant Woman of the Year, Cake Decorators of Tidewater, the Lace Guild, and she was a cornerstone member of First United Methodist Church in Norfolk for 68 years.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, July 19 in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd. in Virginia Beach. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 20 at First United Methodist Church, 3031 Luxembourg Ave. in Norfolk. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. “Descanse en Paz.”
