Gregg was born in North Carolina but had lived in many locations including Germany and Republic of Panama. A Human Resources Generalist, he was employed with the City of Chesapeake, where his co-workers were like family. He had also worked with First Colonial Inn in Virginia Beach and Volvo Penta in Chesapeake.
Gregg had many interests but his life's passion was the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous where he helped others unselfishly and faithfully.
He is survived by his husband, Joseph "Ernie" Garcia, his loving mother, Ida M. Adams, his father, Ray Adams and wife, Mary, three sisters, Rhonda L. Santel and husband, Rick, Sherry L. Badgett and Rae Nell Saparito and husband, Michael, his maternal grandfather, Frank Pirisino and wife, Susie, his mother-in-law, Shirley A. DeFeo and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Gregg loved all of his family but closest to his heart were his nieces Emma, Marrisa and Ashley and especially his canine daughter, Daisy.
Gregg's Funeral service with family visiting following will be held on Friday, August 18th, 2017 at 7pm at Kellum-Rosewood Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA with Rev Michael W. Snead and Rev. Valerie Blount officiating.
His family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the A.S.P.C.A.
