Virginia Beach-Gloria Norma Broom, 91, passed away Wednesday at Pacifica Senior Living in Virginia Beach. Gloria was a native of New York, a daughter of the late Elbert Hackel and Gladys Brooks. She is also predeceased by her two brothers, Donald and Robert Hackel. Gloria was a member of the Eastern Star and in her spare time loved to bowl and dance with the love of her life Robert.
She is survived by her husband Robert Broom of Virginia Beach; two sons, Richard Broom of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Geoffrey Broom of Cary, NC; two daughters, Geri Geiger of Stouffville, Ontario, Canada and Robin Butler of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
