Gladys May Vaughan

Mrs. Vaughan was born in Irwin, PA and resided in Virginia Beach since 1950. She was preceded by her husbands Richard Maund and Ernest Bertok, a daughter-in-law Bonnie and a grandson Jason.

She retired from Sentara Virginia Beach General as a Dietary Supervisor. She was a member of Shadowlawn Church in Virginia Beach.

Mrs. Vaughan raised three boys by herself and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed baking, gardening and was very active with family and church.

Survivors include her loving husband James Vaughan, three sons, Mark, Larry and Todd and wife Terri; eight grandchildren Stephanie, Michelle, Jason, Nicole, Brittany, Taylor, Dylan and Katie; thirteen great grandchildren; a sister Jean Faust, two brothers Emerson and Warren Faust; two step sons Frank and Charlie Bertok.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Shadowlawn Church, 520 Norfolk Avenue in Virginia Beach. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
