Franklin J. Herrmann III, passed away on March 12, 2025. He was born to Franklin J. Herrmann, Jr and Sarah E. (Miller) Herrmann in Hagerstown, MD. He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Margaret L. Herrmann. His parents, Franklin J. Herrmann, Jr. and Sarah E. (Miller) Herrmann; his brother, Tom Herrmann; brother-in-law, James E. Morton, and his first wife, Linda Herrmann.
Franklin served in the US Navy and served 20 years, serving on the carriers USS Eisenhower, USS Nimitz, and USS Carl Vinson, retiring as a machinist mate, first class.
He is survived by his daughters, Brittany S. Amrose and Sarah Herrmann; his sister, Hazel (Morton) Herrmann; sister-in-law, Karen Herrmann; nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Bonnie Orrison, who was more like a sister to Franklin and his siblings.
