Evelina Buhay Walker

On the morning of November 7, 2024, a new angel ascended to heaven. Evelina passed away peacefully in her sleep in Norfolk, Virginia. Evelina graduated from the University of San Juan De Dios with a Nursing Degree. After graduation, she moved to San Francisco, California, where she began her nursing career at Garden Sullivan Hospital. She later worked at California Pacific Medical Center from 1976 until her retirement in 2002. She was born on March 28, 1944, in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. She was the eldest daughter and fourth of six siblings, born to the late Ceferina Victa and Eduardo Buhay. Evelina was also predeceased by three siblings, Eddie Buhay, Cynthia Kim, and Bart Buhay. She is survived by her four children, Robert Abril (Christina), Ruzel Abril (Eleanor), Evangeline Anthony (Richard), and George Walker; two remaining eldest brothers, Marcial Buhay and Bayani Buhay; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Evelina was known for her caring nature and her unwavering support for those around her. She will be missed by many, and memories will be cherished by all who knew her.
