Elva Elizabeth McCoy

Mrs. McCoy was born in Norfolk in 1931 and resided most of her life in Virginia Beach. She attended Brook Baptist Church for many years and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She married her late husband Herman Marshall McCoy in 1947 and was preceded in death by her parents Ed Saunders and Annie McBride Saunders and a son Timothy Patrick and a grandson Scott Marshall McCoy.

Survivors include 3 sons Joseph M. McCoy and wife Yvonne, Herman Mark McCoy, Jr., and Shane Marshall McCoy, 7 grandchildren: Joseph McCoy Jr., Lisa Hickey, Stephanie Cloutier, Tracie McCoy, Kayla McCoy, Paige McCoy and Taylor McCoy. and 11 great grandchildren: Joshua Hickey, Jacob Hickey, Chase Cloutier, Sadie Cloutier, Joseph (Trey) McCoy III, Corynn McCoy, Piper McCoy, Patrick McCoy, Peyton Hinkle, Preston Hinkle and Harley Gudac and a sister Judy Elliott and husband Harvey.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.

Following the services at the graveside the family will receive friends at 4728 Holladay Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455.
