Elsie Cook Dotson

Elsie Cook Dotson, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 3, 2019. She was born on May 6, 1933 in West Virginia to the late Richard and Dolly Cook. Feisty, loving, and big-hearted, Elsie will be greatly missed. She loved the Lord and served as a Sunday School teacher for over 35 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Perry L. Dotson; and siblings, Luke Thompson, Genevieve Dotson, Thelma Ratliff, and Rodger Cook. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheilah Darlene White (Robert Wayne), Vivian Sue Stephens (Van), and Deanna Sherree Doane (Stephen); sister, Carrie Wethington; grandchildren, Jason White (Deanna), Wayne White Jr. (Laura), Deanna Gilliland (Fred), Kesha Hood (Thomas), Stacey Deputy (James), and Timothy Stephens; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Abby, Tucker, Leah, Justin, Devon, Carter, Freddy, Hailie, and Ashlee (Dustin); great-great grandchildren, Lucas, Charlotte Nicole, Charlotte Belle, and Jayce; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Tues. July 9, 2019 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., on Tues. July 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
