She is survived by her husband and soul mate, William Henry Turner, son Timothy P. Turner, wife Nancy B. Turner and five grandchildren, Kerry T. Shumate, husband Scott Shumate, Katherine M. Turner, Alexandra E. Turner, Logan O. Turner and Cody O. Turner.
She was preceded in death by her son Gerald Wayne Turner.
Edith was an excellent cook and baker, an avid exerciser and bridge player. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Her love and strength will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial Service will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 712 Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA, 23452, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00. A reception will follow at the church.
