Douglas Lowell Snyder passed away on April 20, 2023 at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Marvin Ellsworth Snyder, Jr. and Eda Margaret (Holmberg) Snyder. He attended Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri and lived in Texas, Indiana, California, Massachusetts, Japan, and Virginia during his childhood as the son of a Navy Chaplain. After college, Doug lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for many years.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Chaplain Marvin Ellsworth Snyder, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Eda Margaret Holmberg Snyder of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his brother, Jonathan Snyder and wife Julie of Chesapeake, Virginia; his brother, Mark Snyder and wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his brother, Brent Snyder and wife Tracy of Hayward, California; his sister, Mary Mathews and husband Matt of Magnolia, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Services for Doug will be held at 10:00 am on April 28, 2023 at the Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462, followed immediately by a graveside service at Princess Anne Memorial Park, 1110 N Great Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23454.
