Donna Warner Willard

Donna is a graduate of Graham High School in Bluefield, attended Radford College, and graduated from Roanoke Memorial School of Nursing in Roanoke, Virginia. She met her husband, Dr. Richard Willard, at Norfolk General Hospital when she was a labor and delivery nurse. After staying home to raise her children, she went back into her passion for nursing and retired from CHKD after 20 years of service.

Donna will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, and for always making her home a welcome place.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Virginia Beach; son, Randall Willard, M.D. and wife, Garnett of Wilmington, NC; son, Brent Willard and wife, Mary of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Nicole Harris and husband, Jeff of Virginia Beach, VA; grandsons, Gavin Willard, Benjamin Harris, and Andrew Harris; granddaughters, Delaney Willard and Caroline Willard; sister, Gail and husband, William Wolff, M.D. of Fort Worth, TX, and sister-in-law, Jane Warner of Charleston, SC. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, William Warner.

A private memorial service is planned for a later date at Smith and Williams Funeral Home.
