Donald worked as an Assistant Superintendent for the city of Norfolk for 34 years. He was a generous soul that loved helping friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma Clifton; daughter, Cheryl Thompson; son, Donald Clifton Jr.; four siblings; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Donald is predeceased by his son, Dennis Clifton and seven siblings.
A graveside service for Donald will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby St, Norfolk, Virginia 23505.
