Debra Lynn Ashworth

Debra Lynn Ashworth, 62, passed away on September 8, 2022. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Joseph and Golda Savage. Debra was a member of the Ephesus Church of God in Chesapeake; she loved music, flowers, thrift stores and faithfully taking care of her grandchildren. Debra was a kind, passionate, loyal person who always wanted to help others especially the needy.

Left to cherish her memory are 3 children, Joseph Lyons and his wife Mari, Christopher Cross, and Felica Savage; sister, Judy Caldwell and her husband Jim; and four grandchildren, Rayneria, Nicole, Brittany, and Bentley. Debra was predeceased by her son Owen Ottinger; and three sisters, Betty Jo Savage, Peggy Turner, and Gloria Sue Savage; and the love of her life, her dog Jabez.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Rosewood Memorial Park.
