Deborah H. Nelson, age 81, passed away peacefully August 16, 2016 in Richmond, VA. “Debbie” was a beloved mother, friend and neighbor to many in both Richmond and Virginia Beach. She was retired from the Virginia Beach Treasurer’s Office. In 2002, she and her husband moved to Richmond to be closer to their children. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her joyous spirit, and her quick smile for everyone she met. Her surviving family members include daughter, Linda Trumbo (Rick) and daughter, Peggy Hunt, both of Richmond, and son, Kevin Nelson (Sue) of Ohio. She also has seven grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19th from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home on 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Va. Bch.
