During his 84 years he resided in Leesburg, Virginia, Orlando, Florida and most recently Port St. Lucie Florida. After graduating from Norview High school, he spent four years in the National Guard. David also studied at the University of Virginia in Accounting, Business Law, and Office Management.
He had a long successful career with Bell Atlantic (Verizon) Telephone Company for over 35 years. He began as a telephone lineman installing and repairing communications to thousands of customers in Northern Virginia in some of the harshest winter climates. He retired as a Lead Supervisor of Construction directing personnel teams of over 50 with several certifications in fiber-optics, information technology, data-link systems, and quality control to name a few. After his brief retirement in 1997, he worked as a consultant with Dynamic Concepts, Inc. David was also invited to consult in communication networking in Washington D.C. and Vandenburg Air Force Base, California.
He loved tennis, traveling in his camper, classic cars, finding the best restaurants, and telling stories of his life experiences. He loved living life to the fullest and making people laugh. He was a member of the Loudon County Tennis Club, the Kiwanis Club in Leesburg, Virginia and more recently the Elks in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was preceded by Zelda Edwards, Joann Edwards, and Richard Baillio. He is survived by his girlfriend Sara (Sandy) Simmons, children David C. Edwards, Diane Maddox, Lisa Cantrell, Marie Edwards, Gary Baillio, Mark Baillio, Anita Baillio, David Baillio, and John Baillio. Also left to cherish his memory are his 12 grandchildren.
