Corey was a dedicated sheet metal mechanic, known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. He took immense pride in his craft and contributed significantly to every project he undertook. In his personal life, Corey found joy in fixing lawnmowers, a testament to his love for tinkering and problem-solving. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, never missing a race, and he cheered passionately for the Dallas Cowboys every Sunday.
Corey was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hershel Mash, his brother, Timothy Eugene Mash, and his sister, Karen Eugenia Mash.
He is survived by his loving mother, Edith Mash Strickland; Corey also leaves behind his aunt, Bobbie Smith; his cousin, Gregg Smith; his sister-in-law, Mary Mash; his niece, Valerie Bacon; and nephew, Anthony Bacon. Additionally, he is survived by his stepbrother, Orson Strickland Jr., and wife Kelly, and his stepsister, Karen Landers, and husband Chris.
A graveside service for Corey will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
Corey will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for his kindness, dedication, and the warmth he brought into their lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
