Charles Robert "Bob" Garner

Bob Garner, age 65, passed away at his home on May 9, 2014. Bob, also known as Bobby to family and childhood friends, was born in Alexandria, VA, the son of the late Minor and Daisie (Pearson) Garner of Manassas, VA. Bob was a graduate of Osbourn Senior High School and Paul D. Camp Community College. He also served in the US Navy as a Submariner. Bob’s passions were playing poker, hunting, fishing, golfing and his two dogs, Buddy and Cletus Percy Jenkins. He was kind-hearted, generous, and always willing to help family, friends and even strangers in need. Bob is survived by his longtime love, Sheila Park; his boys, Ross Garner and wife Dawn, Ryan Garner and wife Melissa and their daughter Bella Pearl, and Michael Park and fiancée Desiree Czoschke and their daughter Mikaela Rae; and his brother, Steve Garner and wife Lisa.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, starting at 2 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In honor of Bob’s memory the family welcomes attendees to wear casual attire.
