

Carlton Moore, 76, went to be with the Lord on 7/30/2014. Carlton was born 12/25/1937 in Princess Anne County. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert Moore Sr. and Verna Henley Moore; sisters, Margaret Anne Malbone and Rose Smith. Left to cherish his memory, brother, Tootie Moore and wife Judy; sisters, Margie Stanley and husband Earl, Jerry McLaughlin, Shelby Garnes, Judy Spruill and husband Jack, life-long love and friend Doris Ann Lee; children, Anna Braswell and husband Tiny, Rodney Moore and wife Ivy, Angie Humphrey, Carlton Moore Jr. and wife Jill, Molly Lavender, Hope Riggs and husband Dana; grandchildren, Michael Moore and wife Kristen, Spring Hatfield and husband Dave, Missy Redman and husband Wes, Willie Humphrey, Anthony Moore, Ryan Lavender, Christopher Moore, Jacob Lavender and wife Kayla, Bethany Joyner, Santana Ortiz, Cole Riggs, Kayla and Colby Strawhand; great grandchildren, Zoey, Dalton, Cheyenne, Angel, Peyton, Bradley, Isabella, Henry and Braxton and a host of other family members.
Carlton was a mechanic with John Deere and Princess Anne Equipment for 26 years. He assisted many local farmers and neighbors for years, rarely accepting funds, only gratitude. He loved his family and loved to cook for them. He made the best spaghetti ever. He loved the outdoors, his tractors and working in the garden. He always offered his home to those in need. He was the best Daddy and Granddaddy to many, he was well respected by his community and Carlton will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him.
The family will be receiving visitors Sunday, 8/3/2014 from 5-7pm at the Smith and Williams funeral home located at 4889 Princess Anne Rd. The funeral service will be Monday 8/4/2014 at 12pm at the same location with a graveside service following at Rosewood Memorial Park.
