IN THE CARE OF
Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home & Rosewood Memorial Park
Mildred "Billie" Francis Womack, 87, returned to her heavenly home on July 8, 2015 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Billie was born to the late John and Ada Powers, in Sanford, North Carolina on May 31, 1928. A long time member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, she was a loving participant in many benevolent ministries involving care for the handicapped, the disadvantaged, and all people in need. She also served as and was certified as a Red Cross Volunteer. Her heartfelt and open love and concern for all whose lives she touched was a testimony to the Christ-centered life she lived. She will be deeply, deeply missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.
Billie is survived by her two sons Michael Womack and wife Carol, of Virginia Beach, and Donald Womack and wife Arleen, of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Ruth Craver, and Margaret Fentress; five grandchildren, Cody Jones Womack, Erin Francis Womack, Lance Christopher Womack, Dallas Kristen Womack, Dexter Jones Womack; one great granddaughter Willow Love Lay; two step-grandchildren, Whitney Doudera and Grant tenHoeve; four step great grandchildren, Lucas and Gavin Doudera, and Riley and Cliff tenHoeve.
