Bert F. Durgin

Bert Fredrick Durgin passed away on August 27, 2015. He went home to be with the Lord leaving behind the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Deborah, as well as his three children, Christopher, James, Lorrene and six grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor, Karissa, Caroline, Tristen, and Laila.

Bert was more than just a great brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin or friend. He was a man whose heart was as big as his beloved Mount Washington located in his home state of New Hampshire. After years of battling Muscular Dystrophy, Bert’s family knows he is finally free from the pain he suffered daily but they miss him dearly. They want all to know how much they love, respect, and miss Bert. He is a great man who led his family with strength and wisdom.

Bert will ultimately be taken back to the place his heart never forgot, New Hampshire. In the interim, his family will be receiving friends and family wishing to celebrate Bert's life at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home at 601 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 on Saturday, September 12th from 4-5pm with a ceremony immediately following.
