Bobbie was born in Norfolk, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents Sidney E. Harrell Sr. and Evelyn Reed Harrell, her first husband Gwen “Mickey” Perry and her late husband Ray DuBois.
Bobbie served as Head Secretary for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 80.
Bobbie was a loving wife to her U.S. Navy Husband. She cherished the early part of her life traveling to various duty stations with her husband and children. She made lifelong friends on her many journeys. Her happiest times were spent with family and friends. Her second love was Ray DuBois. Bobbie and Ray were world travelers. They also enjoyed cruising with the top down in their 1990 Mustang 7-Up convertible, even in the winter.
After retirement, she spent time traveling with each of her grandchildren as they graduated high school which included France, Hawaii, Spain, Italy, Greece and Africa.
At the end of her life, she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and beloved pastor, Clint Mitchell.
Survivors include her children, Linda Perry Riley (Terry), Michael Dee Perry (Cyndie), Brian Jeffrey Perry, Lisa Perry Merz (Steve), and Jan DuBois Sheilds. Grandchildren, Lauren Perry Reich (Nate), Meghan M. Riley, Joshua M. Perry (Bethany), Ben M. Riley (Hannah), Kyle J. Perry (Christy), Braden P. Boyd (Patrick), Courtney P. Going (Paul), Kelsey E. Boyd (Ray), Mason Perry, Avery G. Perry, Tray Sheilds (Laura), Shannon Sheilds Temple (Aaron), & Cameron Shields (Katie) as well as 20 adored Great Grandchildren. Siblings, Loretta Harrell Carnes (Haul), Marlene Harrell Pringle, Sid Harrell (Marcia) as well as her favorite Aunt, Betty Harrell Pierce. Very dear cousins, Ken Reed, Cynthia Reed Stanley, and Rezi Depolo (Andro) as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
A reception will follow the graveside service in the funeral home.
