Anne is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Frank Kelly, her children Alice Kelly, Frank Kelly and wife Amy (Keltner) Kelly, Joe Kelly, and Diane (Kelly) Slawson and husband Chris Slawson, grandchildren Kathleen Slawson, Steven Slawson, Annie Slawson, Mary Slawson, Courtney Hopper and Alex Hopper, and dozens of nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her father Edward Burke, and mother Alice (Maguire) Burke, her son Steven Kelly, and her seven brothers and four sisters.
Anne and Frank have been parishioners at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church since 1978 where Anne was active in Catholic Daughters, the Women’s Club, Legion of Mary, and Oblates of St Benedict. She loved being a Red Hat Lady, playing Bunco and Triple Yahtzee, and completing her daily crossword puzzles.
Anne was a beautiful, fun person and will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home Kempsville Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 20, 1:00 p.m. at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
